Words for Our Youth Today

We believe it is a good practice to periodically consider ways to improve how we think and act regarding our witness for Christ. No matter how well we are doing, there is always room for improvement.

Our youth are under a tremendous amount of pressure to uphold the world’s standards for living. It is vitally important that we remind them frequently that Jesus must have first place in their lives, and that He holds their future in His hands. Our young people have many things to consider, and church may not always be their first priority. The question of church attendance is increasingly becoming a struggle for our youth and youth ministry. Many are facing struggles such as personal identity, sex, vocation, and purpose in life. All in an extremely intense, aggressive, and combative world.

Regarding cultural relevance, the church as a whole may sometimes be reluctant to change sufficiently, to genuinely include the younger generation which includes today’s youth, effectively recruiting and training adult volunteers to present God as the correct choice over pop culture.

As a church, which is the Body of Christ, we strive to model Godly love and connect with them in their world providing a safe place for hurting teens. We seek to respond to the deep-seated pain of our young people in more effective ways than ever. We strive to provide ways for young people to encounter other young people and adults who seek to live by faith and model a life that is Christ centered and contrary to pop culture.

Our mission is to help young people press deeper into their faith in God as experienced through youth centered events, mission service, outreach events, worship service, and bible study.

We are a family-oriented ministry, that emphasizes the importance of recognizing our youth as the future of the Church. Standing with them as they grow in grace and favor and the knowledge of the Lord, as current and future leaders in the church, school, community, and the world.
